Drifting Sapphire: (main WoL timeline)

- Born on island south of mainland Aldenard
- Decided to go adventuring sometime after the Calamity/family shit happened!
- Caught up in events in Ul’dah and then the Scions
- Pugilist/Monk main; accepts Widargelt as family, agrees they need to help free Ala Mhigo (as per lvl 40 quest)
- Fight with Rhitatyn prompts her to try and make sure she has something other than fighting to be a part of. joins weaver and goldsmith guilds, maybe culinarian? she can cook, at any rate. she kind of hates the GSM mammet, like, a lot.
- Events largely per-canon to 2.56
- where the being physically thrown trips some shit and she decides to change herself, becoming a Roegadyn and adopting the pseudonym Drifting Sapphire (using the cover of a wandering goldsmith)
- Ward of Fortemps; cover doesn’t really last as she finds Dark Knight and is essentially just herself
- though the whole trip out to talk to Hraesvelgr covers for some of that
- (protect Sid and Rielle)
- she and the other Echo-blessed companions switch out; dealing with Estinien and Ysayle dealing with each other sucks
- largely as per canon for HW
- Monk 50-60 quests also occur through HW; help solidify a sense of family (for… this point)
- freaks out massively at lyse’s reveal; this breaks a lot of the relationship Sapphire thought they had
- thoughts on ilberd: that’s fucked up but understandable
- everything is still painful
- and then Widargelt decides against joining the resistance and helping the way Sapphire/K’pandolu thought they would so her heart breaks that little bit more (in fairness they are teaching others/trying to reestablish the Fist but /still/)
- followed some short while after by the attack on Rhalgr’s Reach
- and the decision to go East and help out Doma
- which yes this was on the cards too but basically fucks up 100% of Sapphire’s remaining dealing with shit not as expected
- she doesn’t go to Doma; the others do (as far as her relationship with lyse goes this is probably for the best)
- Myste happens at this point; Sapphire is too emotionally done to push hard on whatever the fuck that was
- some disassociating happening through this period of time? she doesn’t recall a lot of it
- emotional assistance from people probably not super suited to that? Still, they help.
- keeping the fight going; doing her best to keep casualties to a minimum. hit and run tactics? cutting supplies where possible.
- argument with conrad about lyse? she has gained confidence of returning but Sapphire sees him as trying to leverage her family
- conclude monk and dark knight quests before assault on ala mhigo proper. some things resolved, some still unsaid.
- capturing Fordola happens; whole lot of mixed feelings? probably going via the land route (she can swim, but unpracticed at holding her breath long enough to traverse the underwater passage.)
- Siege on the gates to the palace proper; given one of the major problems with Garlemald history /has been/ their airships I like to think they were trying to have a plan and then Hien happens. It ends up working out well enough that they storm the palace all the same.

Personality:
Tries to be fairly positive and upbeat, with some intention of well, if she believes in the best, hopefully the people around her might match that. Very much trying to lean into the 'gentle giant' archetype. She does try to project a sense of confidence- and while it is largely earned, she grew up with an older sister who the family believed was destined for greater things, and her mother pushing her towards training she wasn’t all that interested in didn’t assist that much. That said, family is extremely important to her, and she’ll go long distances for those she considers family- by blood, and those adopted by circumstance. On the other side of that, she is capable of holding grudges, and taking petty grudges, and has a fairly strong streak of jealousy when she feels someone might be moving in on someone or something she considers hers.
